Hats off to motherhood!!

I love my mom, and I love her the most in this world. Her patience, her enthusiasm and her affection towards all us siblings is unmatchable. No matter what the situation is and no matter how rude we react to her sometimes; she has never stopped addressing us as Sonya, Beta, Raja in almost each of her sentence. When my dad has done his part of being the bread earner, and making sure we get quality education and living; my mom has made sure we have good cultural and moral upbringing, and pampered us with all her culinary skills. She continues to do so even now. In all my India trips, my mom has made something tasty for me in the last one hour, when I am all packed up and just waiting for the cab. That's her style, and that's her love!

In the last ten months, I have watched the blooming of another mother-child bond. Shradha's pregnancy and her post delivery affection towards our little dove, Shravya, makes me respect motherhood even more! The bond between Shradha and Shravya was established the moment we got to know we are pregnant! While carrying the baby for nine months, the bond grew stronger everyday. Experiencing her kicks in her tummy, she already started interacting with the baby. She had to control her diet because someone else's well being was dependent on it. Being not able to sleep, having back pain and heart burns were everyday things. When we got closer to the due date, I  got impatient some days; but, she was ok to wait!! And on the D-day, she did great to bear the pain of labor and brought our little one into this world! Only mothers can do all of it and every mother does all of it!

With so much already established between them two; naturally, she catches the clues from our baby earlier than I do. No matter how much the baby cries, she is more patient than I am; and of course, she has to get up every time the baby gets up; whereas, I can afford to miss it couple of times every night :)
So for the rest of her life, I am sure Shradha will do everything my mom has done for us; but, in her own ways!!

Love you both Shradha and Mom, and hats off to this truest relation!
